Bio
Principal Geotechnical Engineer at PSM, David Piccolo has over 15 years’ experience in a broad range of areas including site investigations, analysis and geotechnical advice for civil engineering infrastructure.
David has worked on geotechnical projects which encompassed detailed consideration of many aspects of earthworks and their control. He also has experience in tunnel and slope stability projects on rock and soil slopes, slope risk assessments, and slope remediation.
David has contributed to forensic investigations and has prepared expert reports for civil cases. He was a member of a geotechnical investigation team conducting forensic investigation into the tragic culvert collapse which resulted in multiple fatalities at Piles Creek, Somersby. The investigations performed were endorsed in the coroner’s findings.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
David has published several technical papers and presented at professional conferences. His Experiences with post-construction retesting of engineered clay fills, co-authored with B Burman and G Mostyn was awarded best paper in Australia for geomechanics (AGS 2008), and civil engineering (Warren Medal 2009).
