Principal Geotechnical Engineer at PSM with over 19 years of experience delivering complex geotechnical solutions across numerous civil, tunnelling, mining projects throughout Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia. Ronald has worked across the full project lifecycle, from tender and design phase through to construction supervision. His expertise lies in ground–structure interaction and the validation of geotechnical design assumptions through instrumentation and monitoring, enabling informed decision making and risk management during construction. He is recognised for translating complex ground behaviour into practical, buildable engineering solutions.
Ronald’s practice spans major civil and underground works, including transport infrastructure, foundations, retaining structures, embankments, slopes, dams and mining developments. He has held senior technical and leadership roles on some of Australia’s most significant infrastructure projects. His breadth of experience and specialised skills make him a key contributor to the successful delivery of numerous high-profile infrastructure projects.
Ronald is currently the Design Lead for the Hunter Street Station Permanent Lining for the Sydney Metro West – Eastern Tunnelling Package (ETP). He has also contributed to other landmark projects including:
Ronald has authored several technical papers on tunnelling and has presented at the Australasian Tunnelling Conference. He is a member of the Australian Geomechanics Society (AGS) and Engineers Australia, is listed on the National Engineering Register (NER) and is a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) and Victoria (RPEV) in both Civil and Structural Engineering.
